Working principle of pump VTN-1

Submersible centrifugal pump VTN-1 is used for pumping manure at livestock complexes and farms, from manure collectors to vehicles, storage facilities, and places for processing (composting processes, separation into liquid and solid fractions). The pump pumps manure mass with low moisture content, as well as if it contains fibrous and coarse-stemmed components (straw, scraps, corn stalks, etc.). The structure of the pump makes it possible to use it both on large complexes and small farms. The pump can be operated in stationary mode, with a pumping range of up to a kilometer, and with the help of mobile units equipped with a lifting device weighing 0.5 tons. In addition, this model mixes the mass in the intake area within a radius of up to 5 m.

The pump structure is steel and contains a suspension, electric motor, casing, volute, impeller, shaft, and outlet pipe with socket. The upper part of the shaft is connected to the motor shaft through a secondary coupling. The impeller is located at the end of the lower shaft and rotates with the shaft to produce the required head. An additional impeller is located on the shaft inside the housing and provides forced oil circulation in the bearing area. The inlet of the volute includes a flat ring that acts as a fixed blade. With the help of this ring, long-stemmed plant parts and fibers are screwed onto the protruding sides of the impeller blades, crawl up its cone part to the fixed ring knife, and are cut by the rotating impeller blades. At the outlet part of the volute is a pipe with a spigot designed for a pressure hose with an inner diameter of 100 mm or more.

When operating the pump VTN-1, purchasing a mixer for mixing manure is unnecessary. In the example of the Mazolovo gas farm of the Vitebskoblgaz branch of the UE Vitebskoblgaz, the savings on water and manure pumping only amounted to 19.1 thousand rubles. The system does not need equipment for storage of manure effluent, which saves money on maintenance, manure transportation and frees up land areas for other economic needs.
