Manure handling savings calculator
Mass-produced sewage pumps from municipal services are designed for diluted slurry: to make them work, manure is diluted with water, and the volumes to pump, store and haul multiply. VTN pumps handle raw manure at natural moisture from 75% — no dilution water needed.
The calculator estimates what dilution water costs your farm per year: tractor-tank hauling, electricity, and the water itself. The estimate is conservative; all assumptions are listed under the result.
Norm: 55 kg/head/day at 88.4% moisture; milking parlour effluent 20 l/head/day
Listed moistures are the lower "farm outlet" bounds from the indicative table B.4 of the RD-APK 1.10.15.02-17 methodological recommendations, so a lower estimate based on the water consumption norm is shown next to the result.
One-way distance from the farm to the field where the tank hauls the manure for spreading as fertiliser
Extraction tax ≈ 0 — practically free; borehole lifting is counted in electricity

Milking parlour effluent ≈ 20 l/head/day (RD-APK, cl. 5.2); it exists with any pump
